Allied Carpet Care

How does Carpet Protector  Work?
Our quick drying carpet protector can be applied  by overspray to your carpets after we professionally clean them. Our carpet protector is a powerful, invisible shield that wraps around each fiber to keep dirt, dust and liquids from lodging within the carpet.  It is the same chemical that keeps foods from sticking to your pots and pans which prevents those inevitable spills from sticking to your carpet and from your carpets wearing out as quickly.

Our protector has no odor and is safe to use around kids and pets, leaving your carpets staying fresher, cleaner and brighter.

Which Protector does Allied Use?

There are several types of carpet protectors that can be used today. We apply the Dupont Teflon, because we have found that is coats the idividual fibers when properly raked in the carpet and does not leave residues that other protectors can leave.

The Two ways that Protector can be applied

One way is to add the protector to the cleaning chemical.  The main benefit for applying the protector this way, is it applies an even amount to all the areas and you can be sure that all of the you have a protector applied.

The second way is to apply the protector after the cleaning with a pump sprayer. This is also a great way if the protector is properly raked in.

Should My Carpets have Protector Applied if I Purchased a Stain Resistant Carpet?

Carpet mills recommend reapplication of Protector to maintain their warranties. DuPont recommends the application of Teflon Advanced after each cleaning on all carpet types, even those with built-in soil and stain protection. Reinforces stain-blocking qualities of stain-resist nylon fibers, such as Stainmaster®.
